Meta has acquired humanoid robotics startup Assured Robot Intelligence (ARI) on May 1, 2026.

ARI team, including co-founders Xiaolong Wang from Nvidia and Lerrel Pinto from Fauna Robotics, will join Meta Superintelligence Labs.

ARI was building foundation models for humanoid robots to perform physical labor. Pinto previously co-founded Fauna Robotics, which Amazon acquired last month.
