Noematrix (Qiongche Intelligent), an embodied intelligence company founded in November 2023, has completed a new round of hundreds of millions of yuan in funding. The round was led by Wuxi Data Group, with participation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University AI Future Fund, Shanghai Chuangzhi Technology, and Yicun Capital.
Noematrix had previously secured investment from Prosperity7 Ventures, Sequoia Capital China, C Capital, Alibaba, and Sea Limited, making this its second major funding round in six months.
The core product, Noematrix Brain (Qiongche Embodied Brain), provides robots with a complete decision-making闭环 from instruction understanding and task planning to environmental perception and execution feedback. The company is also planning to release a new-generation self-developed embodied intelligence world model.
Pharmacy Deployment Breakthrough
Noematrix robots have achieved batch deployment in pharmacy scenarios, adopting an embedded upgrade approach that requires no modification to existing shelf structures. The system deploys within just 2.5 square meters, directly interfaces with existing store order systems, and operates stably within existing aisle environments.
Pharmacies face a structural labor pain point: nighttime orders are scattered but require dedicated staff on duty, making it a persistent cost center. Robot order fulfillment handles standardized, repetitive picking tasks — exactly what robots excel at.
The pharmacy environment presents unique challenges: thousands of SKUs with varying packaging, shelves rearranged by customer browsing, and numerous corner cases. A small erythromycin eye ointment tube with non-standard placement, or a thermometer hanging rather than boxed — these edge cases determine whether a system can transition from lab to real-world deployment.
Noematrix has partnered with multiple major pharmacy chains, with orders reaching the thousand-unit level. Deployed stores are concentrated in first- and second-tier cities including Guangzhou, Shenyang, and Nantong. The ROI calculation shows a payback period of approximately 1.5 to 2 years per store, replacing an average of 1.5 full-time employees.
Data Strategy
Noematrix adopts a accompanying data collection approach, using self-developed CoMiner exoskeleton and RoboPocket portable devices to collect data across home, office, and industrial environments at low cost. The company combines real-world data (for model stability and robustness) with simulation data (for scaling capabilities), building a comprehensive embodied intelligence training database.
Wuxi Data Group, the lead investor, is jointly launching with Noematrix a city-level Thousand Enterprises, Million Hours embodied intelligence high-quality dataset consortium initiative. The first phase has already secured approximately 100,000 hours of market data demand and signed 30,000 hours of data orders.
Post-investment, Noematrix will continue advancing embodied intelligence large model R&D with strong generalization and autonomous decision-making capabilities, accelerating deployment in retail, hospitality, and other real-world scenarios.
