Manifold AI, a world model company founded in May 2025, has completed its Pre-A round totaling nearly 1 billion RMB, backed by China Reform Fund (China Reform Holdings), Temasek旗下Yifeng Capital, BAIC Industrial Investment, Xineng Venture Capital, with four existing investors oversubscribing. Historical investors include Junlian Capital and Huawei Hubble.
The company was founded by Tsinghua FIB Lab, one of China's earliest academic laboratories dedicated to world models research, combined with an industrial team that pioneered world model commercialization. Manifold AI is the first company in China to self-develop world models as embodied foundation models, and the first to simultaneously cover outdoor, indoor, and aerial domain world models.
WorldScape, the company's flagship real-time world model, supports both mobile and manipulation interactions simultaneously. In the World Score benchmark, WorldScape achieved top ranking for nearly two consecutive months with only 10% of the parameter scale of rival models, demonstrating industry-leading spatial intelligence density and inference real-time performance. The company's MoE architecture enables different experts to handle instruction following, mobile interaction, and manipulation reasoning separately.
WorldScape Policy, the company's world-action model, achieves zero-shot and few-shot execution capabilities that comprehensively surpass existing VLA models, and has been deployed in e-commerce logistics and 3C manufacturing scenarios. The company also established WorldArena, an international unified evaluation benchmark for embodied world models co-created with dozens of research institutions worldwide, which hosted the CVPR 2026 WorldArena Challenge with over 200 submissions.
The funding will be used for next-generation technical frameworks, multimodal world model research, infrastructure platform construction, and promoting embodied AI applications in e-commerce logistics, 3C manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, and MR entertainment exploration.
