China's Embodied AI Attracts 34.5 Billion RMB in 100 Days; AgiBot Raises Record $455M Pre-A Round

According to industry data, China's embodied AI sector has attracted approximately 345 billion RMB in disclosed funding within the first 100 days of 2026, with at least 15 deals exceeding 1 billion RMB each. On April 16, 2026, AgiBot announced the completion of a $455 million Pre-A round, setting a new record for the largest single-round funding in China's embodied AI history. The round was co-led by Hillhouse Capital and Sequoia China, with strategic investment from Meituan. The company's valuation surged from 5 billion RMB to 18 billion RMB in just one year. Founded by former Baidu Autonomous Driving GM Li Zhenyu and former Huawei Autonomous Driving CTO Chen Yilun, AgiBot's 1,000-unit production capacity for 2026 has been fully pre-ordered by customers. Meanwhile, Geek+, Roobo, and Unitree have all achieved profitability, demonstrating that the embodied AI industry is transitioning from "betting on possibilities" to "buying results."
