China MIIT Releases First Embodied AI Industry Standard

China's MIIT released YD/T 6770-2026, the first industry standard for embodied AI benchmarking methods, effective June 1, 2026. This establishes unified testing frameworks for simulated and real environments, specifying requirements for test environment setup, task libraries, testing processes, and metrics. Industry experts predict this will significantly accelerate industrialization by providing clear evaluation criteria and reducing redundant R&D investments.
