Agility Robotics Hits $2 Billion Valuation, Plans New Funding Round for Digit Gen5
[Agility Robotics](/companies/agility-robotics) has reached a significant milestone in its growth journey, with CEO Peggy Johnson revealing during the 2026 Abundance Summit that the humanoid robotics company is now valued at approximately $2 billion (13.7 billion RMB).
The company is planning a new funding round later this year to support the expansion of its Robofab manufacturing facility in Salem, Oregon. The goal is to scale annual production capacity to 10,000 units.
Fifth-Generation Digit Robot Unveiled
Johnson also announced details of the upcoming fifth-generation Digit robot, which will feature an enhanced lifting capacity of 50 pounds (approximately 22.68 kg). This upgrade enables the robot to handle heavier loads in warehouse and logistics environments, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications.
The current operational cost for Digit stands at $10–$25 per hour, with future plans to reduce this to $2–$3 per hour as production scales and technology matures.
