Boston Dynamics unveiled the production version of Atlas at CES 2026, marking the robot's transition from research platform to commercial product. The production-ready Atlas stands 1.9 meters tall with a maximum reach of 2.3 meters, weighing 90 kg while delivering 50 kg lifting capacity through its aluminum-titanium alloy lightweight construction. The robot features 56 degrees of freedom, fully rotational joints, and four-finger dexterous hands. Operational continuity achieves new standards through 4-hour battery life coupled with 3-minute autonomous battery swapping capabilities, eliminating productivity gaps. Boston Dynamics projects annual production capacity reaching 30,000 units by 2028. All 2026 production units are already committed to Hyundai's Robot Metaplant Application Center and Google DeepMind, with additional customers planned for 2027.
