Le 19 avril 2026, le Semi-Marathon de Beijing Yizhuang a marqué l'histoire comme le premier marathon mondial de robots humanoides. Le robot Glory "Lightning" a parcouru les 21,0975 km en 50 minutes et 26 secondes, dépassant officiellement le record mondial humain de 56 minutes 42 secondes de plus de 6 minutes. C'est la première fois qu'un robot humanoïde bat un record mondial humain dans une épreuve d'endurance. La compétition a rassemblé plus de 100 équipes de robots humanoides aux côtés de 12 000 athlètes humains.
