Tesla Targets 10 Million Optimus Robots Annually as AI Capex Hits $25B

[Tesla](/companies/tesla-optimus) has announced ambitious plans to produce 10 million Optimus [humanoid robots](/glossary/humanoid-robot) annually at Gigafactory Texas, according to its first-quarter 2026 earnings report. The second-generation production line is designed for long-term annual capacity of 10 million robots, while the first-generation line at Fremont targets 1 million units annually.
