State Grid Plans 68 Billion Yuan Robot Procurement for 8,500 Units in 2026
China State Grid Corporation announced plans to invest 68 billion yuan in robotics procurement in 2026, targeting deployment of approximately 8,500 robots across its national power grid network. The initiative focuses on power inspection, live-line working, and hazardous environment operations. Blue Dot Touch robotic solutions have become the preferred choice for 90% of power enterprises. Following deployment at energy storage power stations, daily inspection manpower requirements reduced by over 70%, while thermal runaway emergency response time was shortened to within 30 seconds.
