Shanghai Embodied AI Summit: Domestic Component Rate Exceeds 70% as Industry Shifts to Brain Development

When China's humanoid robot core component domestic rate has already exceeded 70%, the industry's gaze has collectively shifted from the once flashy limbs to the brain that determines performance ceilings. At the 2026 International Embodied AI Robotics Industry Innovation Summit held in Shanghai in May, chips, sensors, and algorithms replaced robot bodies as the absolute focus of the exhibition floor. This marks a clear industry consensus: after the hardware foundation was initially consolidated, independent control of the computing layer, the brain, has become the core breakthrough point for China's embodied AI track to move from being able to move to being capable, and to achieve large-scale deployment. Player landscape: Who is leading the brain-making race? On this high-value track, various players from tech giants to startups have crowded in, positioning themselves at different levels of the brain industry chain based on their endowments. First layer: Large models and platform layer, building cognitive foundation SenseTime, with native unified architecture as its label, released its SenseNova U1 multimodal large model based on the NEO-unify architecture. With 8B parameters, it reaches SOTA level at the same scale, aiming to provide the full-process brain for robots from perception, understanding to execution. Its Enlightenment 3.0 world model has already achieved Day 0 adaptation with 10 domestic chips including Biren and Cambricon, with performance improved by 300%. Second layer: Motion control and algorithm layer, forging the cerebellum and decision-making Unitree Technology, labeled as end-to-end motion intelligence, its H1 humanoid robot completed the 1500-meter track at an average speed of 7.51 meters per second, with dynamic error less than 0.1 millimeters. Behind this is centuries of virtual training experience accumulated in simulation environments. Nearly half of the 4.202 billion yuan raised by the company's IPO, 2.022 billion yuan, is invested in intelligent robot model research and development, directly targeting the core of the brain. Third layer: Edge computing and hardware layer, creating autonomous nervous system Dongtu Technology carries the banner of full-stack domestic electronic architecture. Its combination of Hongdao operating system and AUTBUS bus provides an autonomously controllable foundation from real-time operating systems to communication protocols. Shanghai industry map and ecosystem gathering As an industry highland, Shanghai is trying to integrate scattered players into a coordinated industry map through dual drives of policy and ecosystem. Pudong has gathered over 100 embodied AI enterprises, covering complete machines, components, and models. The establishment of the Embodied Intelligence Industry Alliance, with the first batch of 12 industry chain enterprises settling in Lingang, aims to collaboratively solve industry common bottlenecks.
