London-based Humanoid has emerged as Europe's first pure-play humanoid robotics unicorn, raising $152 million in Series A funding at a post-money valuation of $1.35 billion. The round, led by Prime Movers Lab, brings the company's total funding to $270 million just two years after its founding.
Existing and new investors including Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital, and Aglaé Ventures participated in the round, underscoring growing industrial and financial confidence in the humanoid robotics sector.
Accelerating Development and Commercial Deployment
The funding will accelerate development of Humanoid's next-generation AI-powered humanoid robots and expand commercial deployments with industrial customers. The company plans to begin long-term commercial beta deployments in Q4 2026, followed by large-scale production of its wheeled humanoid robots.
Initial deployments will focus on manufacturing, logistics, retail, and other industries facing persistent labor shortages and increasing automation demands — markets where humanoid robots offer a compelling value proposition as flexible, reconfigurable automation platforms.
Industrial Partnerships and KinetIQ Platform
In just two years, Humanoid has established partnerships with several global industrial and technology leaders including SAP, NVIDIA, Bosch, and Siemens. The company has also signed what it describes as the industry's largest publicly announced commercial deployment agreement.
At the core of Humanoid's offering is KinetIQ, its proprietary artificial intelligence platform designed to enable general-purpose humanoid robots capable of operating in real-world industrial environments. The platform combines perception, planning, and control capabilities with foundational AI models adapted for physical interaction.
Market Context: Europe's Growing Robotics Ecosystem
The deal marks a significant milestone for Europe's humanoid robotics ecosystem, which has been gaining momentum alongside established players in the US and China. Humanoid's unicorn status signals growing investor appetite for European robotics startups that combine AI software expertise with industrial deployment capabilities.
With the Series A funding secured, Humanoid joins an elite group of humanoid robotics companies valued at over $1 billion globally, alongside companies like Agility Robotics, Figure AI, and several Chinese players including Unitree and AgiBot.
