Europe's Humanoid Robotics Milestone
London-based Humanoid AI has reached a defining milestone for European robotics: a $152 million Series A funding round at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation, establishing the company as the UK's first dedicated humanoid robotics unicorn just two years after its founding.
The round was led by Prime Movers Lab, a venture capital firm focused on breakthrough scientific startups, with participation from industrial heavyweights Schaeffler and Bosch, alongside Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital and Aglaé Ventures. Total funding now stands at $270 million.
"What we've accomplished in such a short time would typically take a decade," said Artem Sokolov, Founder and CEO of Humanoid AI. "This funding gives us the resources to move even faster and to turn humanoid robots from breakthrough technology into everyday industrial tools."
What the Capital Will Fund
Humanoid AI plans to deploy the new capital across three strategic priorities:
- Next-generation platform development — advancing its humanoid robotics hardware platform with improved dexterity, payload capacity, and mobility
- Commercial deployment expansion — rolling out Beta version robots in Q4 2026 across logistics, manufacturing, retail, and other industrial sectors with Fortune 500 partners
- KinetIQ AI brain evolution — scaling development of its proprietary AI platform on the path toward general-purpose humanoid intelligence for industrial applications
- Mass manufacturing ramp-up — initiating volume production of wheel-based humanoid robots
Industry Partnerships & Commercial Traction
Humanoid AI has already secured major partnerships with SAP, NVIDIA, Bosch, and Siemens, positioning itself as a serious contender in the industrial humanoid space.
Most notably, the company recently signed what it calls the industry's largest publicly announced commercial agreement with Schaeffler for the large-scale deployment of thousands of humanoid robots in manufacturing environments — a deal that signals genuine industrial demand beyond pilot programs.
Significance for the European Ecosystem
The investment marks a watershed moment for European technology. Until now, much of the Physical AI momentum has been concentrated in the United States and China. Humanoid AI's rapid ascent demonstrates that the UK and continental Europe can produce and scale globally competitive humanoid robotics companies at the cutting edge of the field.
Prime Movers Lab expects the humanoid robotics field to consolidate around a handful of category leaders across the US, Europe, and China — with Humanoid AI positioned to define Europe's place in that trio.
Market Context
The global humanoid robotics market is projected to see massive growth through the end of the decade, driven by labor shortages, rising wages, and maturing AI capabilities. European industrial giants are increasingly looking to homegrown solutions as they seek supply chain resilience and sovereign technology capability.
Humanoid AI's rise — from founding to unicorn status in just two years — underscores both the accelerating pace of innovation and the depth of investor conviction that humanoid robots will reshape how commercial and industrial work gets done.
