X Square Robot Raises $276M Series B Led by Xiaomi and Sequoia China
Shenzhen-based X Square Robot has closed a massive $276 million [Series B](/search?q=funding) [funding round](/search?q=funding) led by Xiaomi and Sequoia China (HongShan).
The deal pushes the company total funding past $700 million - a staggering figure for a startup founded just 16 months prior in December 2023.
This round cements X Square position as the only domestic [embodied AI](/topics/embodied-ai-standards) company backed by all four of China tech titans: ByteDance, Alibaba, Meituan, and now Xiaomi.
WALL-A Foundation Model
At the core of X Square technology is WALL-A, a vision-language-action (VLA) foundation model. WALL-A enables robots to handle tasks they have never been trained on - known as zero-shot generalization.
Product Lineup
X Square launched two robot platforms: Quanta X1 and Quanta X2. The Quanta X2 is a full humanoid standing 172cm tall with 756mm arm reach, 6kg payload capacity, and 20-degree-of-freedom dexterous hands. The Quanta X2 is priced at approximately $80,000.
