China State Grid Launches 68 Billion Yuan Embodied AI Procurement

State Grid Corp of China has issued plans for 2026 embodied AI development. The plan includes procurement of about 8500 robots with total investment of 68 billion yuan. Procurement will focus on power inspection, live-line operations, emergency response and logistics. Pilot orders in Q1, large-scale purchases in Q3, follow-up in Q4.
