Shanghai Fuxing Island Embodied Intelligence Real-Space Platform Officially Launched

On April 28 2026 Shanghai Fuxing Island officially launched the Embodied Intelligence Real-Space Experiment-Training-Testing Platform marking a significant step in integrating embodied AI technologies with real urban scenarios. The 1.3-square-kilometer island located in Yangpu District along the Huangpu River offers expansive open spaces and rich industrial heritage suitable for diverse training scenarios. As a core area for Shanghai Quantum City construction Fuxing Island leverages AI and digital twin technologies to develop future urban governance intelligent agents. The platform operates around three core modules rule innovation technology training and evaluation governance. It will systematically conduct ten major initiatives including dual-base symbiotic experiments spatial cognition understanding training and embodied intelligence real-space comprehensive capability testing.
