Meta Acquires Robotics AI Startup ARI

<p>Meta has acquired humanoid robotics startup Assured Robot Intelligence (ARI) on May 1, 2026.</p><p>ARI team, including co-founders Xiaolong Wang from Nvidia and Lerrel Pinto from Fauna Robotics, will join Meta Superintelligence Labs.</p><p>ARI was building foundation models for humanoid robots to perform physical labor. Pinto previously co-founded Fauna Robotics, which Amazon acquired last month.</p>
